Heart-warming note

It has been a while since our last post. Everybody was/am busy with their own things. One is suffocating under huge pressure to finish her proposal as well as presentation (luck to her), one is..well, erm..how to put this nicely..doesnt know what to write/tell on this blog, another one is very unfortunate because her laptop died on her. Other two are having fun back in Mesia. Hence, no latest updates from us until now. Our friend who's very sweet (be careful, she might cause you toothache :p :p) sent us yet another thoughtful entry to post on the blog. Thanks alot! So here's a little something something frm her.

Hana’s Warm & Cold Experiences in 107 Nichols, Coburg

Warm

1. Thank you to 5 beautiful ladies (yang manis-manis buah) for making me so welcome to your lovely home. You were very friendly towards me during my stay. I even went to Kak Jaja’s and kak Effa’s office in RMIT which made me drawn to do my PhD asap (so, please pray for me).
2. Kak Jaja’s food! Oh how very mouth watering! I simply love your kari udang, kuih cara & rendang kambing. Yum yum! I need more! Please feed me, I’m skinny! Haha
3. Fina’s birthday celebration at midnight! We had a surprise birthday cake for Fina! That was really something! Very funny too. I was glad I was there during your birthday, babe! I’ll certainly remember that forever!
4. Watching Kamaljeet Singh Jhooti on TV with Fina & Kak Jaja! Are you down? Don’t worry. You won’t be lonely, even if the sky is falling down. XD

Cold

1. When the water boiler gave up on me during shower! I was freezing like a polar bear without its skin in the North Pole. Brrrrrrr
2. Getting out of the hot lovely bath. And you thought the hot water would make you feel warm? Nope. The moment I stepped out of the bath, it was like I’ve been shot with a thousand ice bullets.

See? The warmth experiences outrun the cold ones. Thank you ladies for making my trip memorable! I miss 107! I hope to see you all again soon!

MasyaAllah..hari ni panas yg amat.tak tahan mak, nyah.makin hitam la..aduh.tak ku rela.auw! anyhoo, woke up quite early this morning.6am okay.kalau time mesia its 3am.kool kan saya.then dh nearing tghari tu, drove to preston market for the housemates to buy fresh fish, vegs and tomatoes (kena highlight tomatoes sbb dalina bukan nama sebenar suka beli).hihi.then balik la rumah sorg2 sbb mereka menuju ke city, meninggalkan saya sorg2.takpe, saya suke! hm, esok merupakan hari kejadian seseorg.nak la buat2 kejutan tp tak tau la menjadi2 ke tak nnt.saya tak pandai lah!ntah2, dia baca blog ni.hahaha.ok, buat2 surprise kalau baca.baiklah, saya undurkan diri.nak nonton muvi rasanya.

erm, kemungkinan besar langsir yg bersaiz kecil.
kemudian, dinding telah dipaku untuk
mensamakan level gamba2 kaabah yg di print oleh dalina.

Back again...hahaha my housemates will have to bear my writing..again & again..I'm not feelin' well..so probably it will be a short & sweet entry ...this piece of writing is dedicated to the one whom we called..'The Logistic Minister cum Treasurer'..the main person who responsible for the 'shock make over' of the house...

The challenge of 107 house posed to all architecture and design students will be so obvious...WE DON'T HAVE MONEY TO RENOVATE OR DECORATE...full stop..nobody dares to say anything...the best comment we got from an archi student was...'everything was slanted..the wall, floor, door..or probably the 'heart' too (that'll be discussed in the next issue :))..

It's indeed an eco challenge....and surprisingly..an archi student who lives in this house(who probably has her own reason to live in 107) manage to take up the challenge...all by herself..REPEAT ...all by herself..

She may not win any best design (well not yet inshaAllah)..but this is one of her P & C project in Melbourne...She is a living proof that an archi student can survive in a total impaired design house..and ...change a challenge into an opportunity..She knows all the things..ALL..in the cabinet..store room..internally n externally..name it..she knows every junk in the house...(I always wonder whether she knows my junkie)..

Yesterday, she did it again..new arrangement of furniture..photo frames...At 11 pm...you could hear someone was hammering a nail to a wall!..probably, our dear neighbors would bitterly comment 'crazy malaysian gals'...Deep inside, I just knew she won't stop...

The result: the house is no longer suit for single ladies..it's being upscaled to 'rumah tok penghulu'..the house of a headman..and this morning, when I walk out from the toilet..I take my sweet time passing thru the living room...the curtain is so clean & new..butterflies are all over it..the flowers in the vase..the dining table looks so inviting..we even have cover on our coffee table..and it matches to the color of the vase!impressive..

It's hard to give an appropriate token of appreciation for her hardwork..it may never will equate the energy, love & attention given..but this writing is solely for you..please welcome her first public appearance..DALINA...thank you for making our house beautiful..

p/s:a big thank for nazida for the help & effort (we are proud 2 say she's a businesswoman now..alhamdulillah)

Well, it's my first struck of writing the blog for 107..As utube junkie, 107 reminds me of this song

Instead of introducing myself, I wanna tell a bit about the HOUSE...The white wooden house..white fence..surrounded by fruit trees...and not to forget we do have a special feature- the BIG cctv rite in front (WARNING: we have the best security in the suburb :))...for most people, it will be only an old run down house..a very cheap rental rate in the suburb...plus our unique landlord Angelo who has a very heavy Italian accent who fixes everything and keep comin' back ...the superman of 107 (hmmm probably we shud buy superman outfit for his bday)..and many more unique descriptions of this old house...and every time a new guest came..there would be a new thing to add ...'dinding senget' / the slanting wall, the phenomenal iceberg experience during winter and etc...

But personally for me...this house is indeed special...I share it with all beautiful sisters who have characters and we manage to 'make over' the house gradually...It may not turn into a high expensive apartment lookalike but it manages to soothe the eyes of the beholder..we changed the carpet together, we organized the Hari Raya party together, we celebrated birthdays,...lying on the bed together and sharing stories...watching television (while I talked and talked)...eating jaja's delicious cooking and those moments that I shall never forget..we might have our PMS days...we might be sensitive and stressful sometime...everyone is seeking attention...but that's how family works...they are not only my housemates, but more..they are my dear and only family here in Melbourne..

Going back to Coburg after a stressful day of 'research'..means I'm going back home to meet my sisters...finding there is someone home and acknowledge your existence...means so much after a tiring day...and that's what I call...a house with soul

Ahh..akhirnye wujud jugak blog edisi Coburg.Sebenarnya, idea dah lama ada..cuma masa yang tak mengizinkan.so nak jadi kan cerita, sorg warga 107 sudah bebas dr cengkaman raksasa buat selama-lamanya.yes! ok sambung.maka dgn itu, dia lah yg menjadi org yg perlu menguruskan kelahiran blog ni.alhamdulillah.wahai warga 107, sila lah contribute jugak.semoga blog ni boleh kekal lama lah org kate.semoga ada org baca.haha.dan yang penting, kurus!
