Supermodels 107

Ramadhan during Winter! Yeayyyyy! Ideal temperature during the day but still drives me crazy when the sun disappears. Urgghhhhh!
I can't help but feel like I am back at home because the time to break fast is almost similar to Sabah which is around 6pm. Ahhhh...how I wish I could eat my mom's cooking..hu hu hu :"(
The residents of 107 are very committed and so far none of us have missed our Sahur except during "Red Flag" intervals but bravo gurls! Alhamdulillah altho' not every nite, we do perform our Tarawih together. I know, there is a masjid around the corner but after spending long hours at school, going out again is just wayyyy too challenging! Haha. Anyhow we are doing our best, as much as we could to be good Muslims Insya Allahhhh. Ramadhan Kareem everyone and May Allah S.W.T bless us all during this holy month ;) BTW, this is our latest Raya shot. Fat chance that our face will make it into Utusan this year! Fingers cross gurls! Hahahha ;D

Cheers,

Runnow Gurl ;)

Runnow Gurl joins the Turf!

My first draw of breath outside the Tullamarine Airport was shockingly refreshing. A total change from what I am used to. A friend who promised to take me didn't show up but I didn't feel angry at all. Too excited and refuse to let any small inconvenience spoil my cheery mood.

Been here 3 years ago but never really had a chance to explore. Well, here I am again on a different mission. A little bit giddy and dangerously contagious I'm afraid. Hehe :P

I arrived at 107 Nicholson St. on a dreary Monday morning. Rapped on the door and heard someone started. I think it was Kak Kuzah. Sorrie! Hehe. Dalina met me at the door and invited me in. I stood affixed at the doorway for quite sometime thinking, " Is this the right house?" It was so different from the image I have in mind; sunny and very inviting. I then realised the pictures sent to me was probably taken during Spring or Summer. And now is winter!!! Haha! Very foolish of me ;P

First few nights were almost unbearable. I know the weather in Canberra is much harsher than here but I just couldn't stand it. Thank God for Kak Jaja's fiery heater. It made sleep possible ;)

Coming to Melbourne was daunting but I then found myself liking this city more and more with each passing day. I even found friendship. Feels instantaneously at ease with my new sisters. Alhamdulillah.

It's true. People maketh the place not the other way round. No matter how dodgy the house looks from the outside but people who live inside is what matters the most. K.Efa, I love your spirit. Your life story is truly inspirational. Stay strong; K.Jaja, stories of you trotting around the globe really heighten my own desire to travel the world. And i so heart ur cooking!; K.Kuzah, seriously, your voice is just too cute to be yours! Haha! And hurry buy that new Jazz pleaseee! Can't wait! Aez, the gorgeous Dr. in town! Lurrrrve ur sambal tooo much! Cook some more plizz plizzz ;). Not forgetting Dalina, thank u soooo much. I owe you my fantastic kick-start in Melbourne. Indebted for life gurl ;), and Fina, tho' our meeting was brief but your warmth really left a memorable mark :) All in all, u gurls rawkkkk!

Cheers!
